Born in Trabzon in 1976, he comes from Çayeli in the province of Rize. He completed primary and secondary school in Çayeli and graduated from the Department of Economics at Gazi University in 2000.
He holds a master's degree in public law from Atatürk University and is pursuing doctoral studies in the same field at İstanbul Medipol University.
He began his career as a customs broker and worked for a time as a specialist at the Ministry of Finance. In 2004 he entered the Ministry of the Interior as a district governor. After studying at the University of Exeter in England, he attended a public diplomacy course at TODAİE.
He served as district governor in Hemşin, Keşap, Düzköy, Murgul, İspir, Kınık and Mudanya, then as deputy governor of İstanbul and district governor of Beykoz. He was appointed Governor of Bilecik by presidential decree on 28 May 2025.
He is married with two children and speaks English.
